Trailer ties are a useful addition to your kit as they provide a safe way to tie your horse up in the trailer, on the yard or in the stable. Discover some of the best trailer ties for horses with our guide below.

How to use the ARMA Trailer Ties

The ARMA trailer ties now have a new and improved design with a touch close breakaway feature that allows the horse to safely release itself in a panic situation.

These new trailer ties have a loop at one end that can be looped onto a tie ring. The other end features a panic clip which attaches to the headcollar to allow the handler to quickly intervene when they need to.

If the horse releases itself with the touch close breakaway safety feature, a short lead will stay attached to the headcollar to help make catching and handling the horse easier.

ARMA Bungee Breakaway Trailer Tie

This trailer tie features web covered bungee elastic to help reduce tension and buffer against sharp jolts when the horse is tied up. You’ll notice that this trailer tie doesn’t have a trigger clip and breaks away at the touch close point to help prevent broken clips causing harm to the horse or handler.

A panic clip is included at the end which attaches to the headcollar and this will stay attached if the horse releases itself with the touch close breakaway safety feature.

This handy trailer tie has an adjustable length which makes it ideal for a range of uses when on the yard or travelling. The touch close breakaway safety feature is designed for panic situations and it will leave a short lead attached to the headcollar.
