In this series, Saskia Davies joins Mia & Bougal to show you some exercises that can help improve suppleness.

"Easy to set up with three channels of poles, these exercises can be useful when improving suppleness."

So you can give the exercises a go, Saskia starts by showing you how to set up the exercises with three channels of poles.

"When trying the first part of this exercise, focus on keeping the horse even down both sides of the body, even into the contact and have both legs wrapped around him."

With the exercise now set up, Mia starts the exercise by walking on a straight line between the first channel and third channel of poles.

"To make this exercise a little bit more difficult, walk through the first set of poles, then leg yield to the right towards the fence."

Next, Saskia adds leg yielding to the exercise and encourages Mia to focus on Bougal’s balance and rhythm.
